OK, serious subject now...
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month but most of don't realize that October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The focus in October is always on breast cancer awareness, an enormously important cause. However, domestic violence is a social epidemic affecting millions of women, some of whom we know personally. The statistics are sobering: one in every four women will experience some kind of domestic violence in her lifetime. The saddest part is that some of these women suffer in silence for years and years, without being able to share their burden with anyone.
I don't know about you but I am tired of hearing about another woman being beaten, abused or battered by a so called "loved one". I am not the "cross-your-arms-and-wait-till-someone-else-helps" kind of girl. These lovely women need our help and I want to do something about it! Some of us can help in big ways, some in small (but no less significant) ways.
Here's my little idea and how I need your help. We want to design a T-shirt to help raise awareness of this issue. The proceeds would go towards helping local organizations helping victims of domestic abuse. Would you help us come up with a slogan? You can either post your comments here or send us an email at info@themonogramdivas.com . I would really appreciate your help. Let's break the silence!

I have volunteered for years and know that one more person willing to stop domestic violence is a step in the right direction. Thanks for your contribution.
